Making Money Online

Yahoo Contributor Network getting harder to work for!

I started on Yahoo Contributor Network back in 2007 when it was still Associated Content and over the year published roughly 170 Articles in different categories and on a wide variety of topics. My cloud level there is a solid 10, which pretty much shows that over the years I have worked my earned by “writers wings”.

Ever since Yahoo Contributor Network took over a few things have changed and not necessarily to the better either. Before you were able to share your knowledge pretty much in any way you desired as long as it was written reasonably well. Now they “prefer” a particular writing style to which you need to conform in order to be able to get an up front payment, which is pitifully small to begin with. Is it just me or have the pre-payments been lowered?

Page views seem to be missing which affects your royalty payments. Remember that you get a certain amount of money per so many page views each month. I can track from my various blogs which of my Articles have been viewed and those alone don’t even match up with the page view claims that are made on my account. Very frustrating. Now please remember those don’t even reflect the views which may have come from search engines or readers happening on my content.

Many of the more prolific Authors are leaving Yahoo Contributor Network for this reason. Is it a glitch and growing pains or are we truly being ripped off? I don’t know and I would not presume to know the answer to it. At this moment I am simply making the assumption that Yahoo just doesn’t care about the Writers enough to assure they are happy and taken care of.

I have not submitted a new Article in  about 2 months now after I saw the downward spiral develop and I am seriously debating if I should start spending more time on adding new material or not. It is a shame to leave a place in which you have already established yourself and have gained a few friends. For now I will keep my account active on there and probably try to publish a couple of new Articles a week again. Of course I will keep a close eye on the hits I receive via my blogs and which are credited to me. Afterall writing is not “just” my passion but my career as well.

My hope is that Yahoo Contributor Network will clear out the cobwebs soon and make it once more a great place for writers of all topic ranges to not only earn a few extra dollars, but feel appreciated and respected again.

In the meantime I think I will  create a webring and a basic contributor link exchange page on my blogs http://iwriteforcash.com , http://reginasunderland.com and my new upcoming blog for writers who are interested in networking (to be announced soon).

Please feel free to join the webring  and/or  add your yahoo contributor profile URL as well as your personal website or blog if you have one to the YC Contributor Link Exchange page via the comment feature. I will take them and add them to the blog page itself as they come in. I only ask that you do the same on your own blog as well so we can keep the cycle flowing. Make sure you add your page address for this in the command box as well.

Thank you so much and good luck to all my fellow writers!

No I just couldn’t leave it alone!

I know, I am constantly messing with my websites and blogs. For some reason I just simply can’t seem to leave things alone. Fact is that after a while I just get bored with them the way they are and in good old Regina fashion am trying to improve on them.

If the ways I change my blog and website indeed is an improvement or not, well I leave that decision up to you dear Readers. What is a fact, you learn to change with me or you are left behind. (Ponders maybe I am the one that is left behind and not you – alas the same result we part ways).

With me having suffered through the constant illnesses as of late I had a pretty hard decision to make. I realized that little ole me was pure and simple overloaded. I had entire too many irons in the fire again and nothing was getting done.

Now I can only accomplish so much before my mind and body screams for quarter. I am not sure if you are aware of the little fact but I was *YES WAS* proud owner of over 40 Domain Names, Websites and Blogs I tried to maintain.

So I had to end up cancelling more than half of them. At the moment I am down to 16 which is a lot less for me and in reality they will probably twindle down even more in the next couple of months. Some of them are paid up until 2013 and those I am going to keep, others are coming due for renewal in April and in October again. At which time I will make up my mind if I want to keep them or if I just want to let them go.

Here is a list of the Domains which are currently the ones I will work with the most. Mind you I am only giving you vanilla and PG 13 rated ones, so feel free to go ahead and visit them from your workplace if you like. My more mature content ones, well you need to find on your own.

For those of you who are interested in my more spiritual blogs, webs and thoughts you can go two routes.

http://shalamarsdream.com is my blog which gives you a little bit of insight behind some of my pagan products I have been creating and selling. It also shows more of some of the thought, believes and more which go into the creation process. There I also feature some of my fellow Pagan Crafts Sellers from both Etsy and Zibbet so far. That is the ones which have stepped up and wanted to be featured.

http://www.shalamarsdream.info needs a little bit of work to be honest, it has a good basic layout so far, but I am not fully content with it yet. Yes, that means some changes are coming in the near future. It is my spiritual path journal so and delves a lot deeper into the various areas of what I practice, belief in and learn about. It also gives you a pretty open look into my mind and often thought processes. With other words proceed with caution, it isn’t for the faint of heart.

http://KnitsbyRegina.com was originally my accompanying blog for my Etsy Store, but soon became my journal documenting the ups and downs of trying to go from hobby crafter to selling my wares. Now it shows some of the items which I list on either my Etsy Store or my Zibbet Store, but it also gives some meat and bones insights. As always, I don’t pull punches and it may not always be a sunshine and roses reads, but I said it was facts not fiction.

http://www.handcrafteditemsforsale.com is my Directory for Crafters, Artisans and Resources for the fore mentioned. It has a blog attached to it as well in which I both introduce some of the good folks listed on the Directory (those who actually take the time to do an interview that is) and give some common sense tips for Crafters and more.

http://moviebookngamereviews.com is a new one which I am sad to admit I had let slide along with some of the others. I am going to pick up the pace on it so and make sure that it gets all the updates I have already noted out. (Meaning I made notes to the various books, just didn’t right the articles yet). I think the title pretty much says what it is about and since I love to read and I do enjoy gaming from time to time as you already know, this one is a must keep.

At the moment I would say those are the main ones I am going to work with right along with my main website / blog right here. Since I am spending endless hours creating new products to be listed on http://www.etsy.com/shop/KnitsbyRegina and at http://www.zibbet.com/CreativelyYours keeping it to those select view should make things a lot easier.
The one I have to decide on and am having a terrible time deciding is http://inandaroundlasvegas.com. I enjoyed this website a lot, but have not really had the chance to get out and about the way I used to and ferret out all the great going ones in here in Las Vegas. I wanted to give you the City I live in from a more personal view and not just another rendition of who f____d who, where you can get drunk or seen and which gambling hole is the best. You see Las Vegas has other wonderful things to offer which all to often get overlooked. Problem is you have to know where to find them. It was also supposed to be a small business and entrepreneurial directory for the folks here in Las Vegas. Advertising in the big papers is so expensive, and I was hoping to get it off the ground enough to make a small advertisement fee for businesses a good idea.
Yes, I know I could always add them for free and I have done so in the past for those businesses and folks which I actually knew and had frequented myself. With other words I did a Review and List, but with money being so tight even for me I can not afford to do this constantly on my own penny anymore. So we shall have to see if I can make it lucrative enough for me to continue on, get some actual sponsorships and the invites for reviews or not. I will keep you posted.

So that is pretty much what is going on with this crazy crafter. The next blog post will deal with a few more blogging oriented themes. I am testing out a couple new “add ins” and we shall see just how good they work and if they are worth recommending to you my dear Readers.

Until than, have a wonderful weekend and happy reading!

Things to consider when applying for Affiliate Programs

Blog marketing and monetizing is a big deal when you are trying to make money from your Internet writing venue. We have already covered the importance of creating valuable and interesting content which will keep your Readers coming back for more and keeping a clean regularly updated blog.  Today we are going to cover the things you need to consider when applying for affiliation programs in order to help monetize your blog / website.

#1 Find Companies which are reputable!

With so many different companies online which offer affiliate programs you would think it is a smorgasbord for you out there. Fact is so, that not everything that glitters is gold. Some companies can be pretty shady about crediting your affiliation income and even worst about paying your money out to you. Always make sure you check the company out a little, ask questions from other marketeers and even do a bit of checking via google. I would say, check the online better business bureau, but after recent developments and articles I have read, I am not certain anymore they are a good source of information.

Look for how long they have been in business and how well known they are as well. Most of the time companies which have been around for years, are less likely to run a shady operation. It takes good customer relations (and that goes for affiliates as well) in order to stick around for more then just a year or two.

#2 Is the content of the products or services suitable for your Website / Blog.

Each company has a different set of requirements in order for your affiliation request to be approved. Some of them are very stringent and unless your blog has a high readership value or genuine traffic hits which run into the thousands daily, you won’t be able to get approved. Others are more reasonable and give even fairly new, but well kept blogs / websites a fair chance to proof them-selves.

One of the easiest affiliations to sign up for are Google Adsense and Kontera Text Ads. Both companies are very reputable, but it may take you several months before you see any sort of money coming from their ads. Remember just because someone sees your advertisement doesn’t mean they are clicking and buying. The good thing about both company is your ability to exclude specific advertisements you do not wish to have on your blog and neither do the allow adult ads.

Which brings me to the point. Another extremely easy affiliation to receive are Adult Website and Gambling Website Affiliations. I receive requests and offers for me to sign up to those almost weekly. I do not have any problems with adult oriented content personally as long as it is classy, but I would not place it on this blog. Why? Because my Readers are of all different Age Groups and this is a family friendly blog. You see what I mean? If you are running a family blog or website, you need to scan and watch the affiliation links carefully in order to assure that your Readers do not get blasted with undesirable advertisement.

#3 Your time span until you want to see some money flowing!

No matter how much we want it to happen right now and in spades, a good business person knows that this is unrealistic. I have had Google Adsense for going on 3 years now and so far I have achieved payout only ones. I started out having it on 3 different blogs which were fairly new and I had to fine tune it quiet a bit. With Google Adsense the minimum payout you can set is $100, which sounds so easy. It took me 2 Years until I received my first payout. Now however it has only been 6 months and I am already sitting at $47.69. You see the illustration I am trying to make.

Kontera I have only signed up with less than 1 month ago and so far I see very little clicks and actions. I don’t expect to see the first real hits and reaction for about 6 months. However that is the time frame I usually give myself. 6 months until I want to see some progress even if it is only a few pennies.

Monetizing and marketing is a numbers game and one that requires patience. It won’t happen overnight and you won’t get rich nor pay your bills off it when you first start off. You probably won’t for several years until you have established yourself as some sort of expert in your own field with a large following of readers.

I would still suggest you do set a maximum time frame you are willing to wait until you see some minimum of activity in your affiliation account. If it doesn’ t happen in that time frame, move on to another affiliation program. Remember that your blog is a more or less valuable online real estateand you need to treat it like that. You wouldn’t allow a dead beat renter to remain in your rental house forever would you?

#4 How many affiliate programs can you do justice to?

The natural inclination for a new monetizer is to sign up to as many affiliation programs as he/she possibly can. The more option the better right? Wrong. An over abundance of ads can not only become conflicting, but can easily turn your Readers off. I would suggest that you either sign up for big affiliation brokers like Goggle Adsense, or perhaps try sites like Shareasale.com, www. maxbounty.com, etc.

Now I will tell you that I have personally tried both shareasale.com and maxbounty.com and my conversation was dismal to say the least, but that does not mean it won’t work for you.

#5 READ the FINE PRINT!

I can’t say this enough! Yes reading those TOS (Terms of Service) is tedious to say the least, but it is important that you do. Read the fine print, read the little escape hatch clauses EVERY contract has. Make sure you familiarize yourself with their “no no” rules. There is nothing more irritating the accumulating some money over time, just for a company to suddenly shut your account down because you didn’t follow the rules to a T. Trust me when I tell you, that they will fine comb your account before paying you out. After all they are looking for the bottom line as well.

I hope these little tips and thoughts will help you when picking your own affiliation programs for your blog / website. As always I wish you the very best of luck and a successful Year!

Heads up from my Canadian Friends – Help wanted!

I am constantly active online trying to find jobs and ways to earn an income. Not only for myself, but also to be able to pass it along to my amazing readers.

No, I am not trying to blow sunshine up your know what, but I belief that we get a lot further if we all work together. Today I came across this amazing little gem which is perfect for my friends in Canada.

Here is the deal. This is a Job Recruiting service and you can do two ways of earning money. One the obvious – if you see a job posted on the sidebar you like, apply to it and hopefully you get hired on! Wonderful – means paycheck in  your pocket.

Or you can the referer route. In which case you get paid if you refer someone great for a job, which they need. So both of you win. Best of all it is 100% free to join. So none of those nasty…pay me $39.95 just to see if you got ripped off or scam jobs.

So take a look and if you feel that this is something you can do – Join up for free!  If you see a job posted on here, click the link (yes if you get hired I might get a referal fee so you are doing something great for me too) and apply for the job. Now here is the catch for you refers.

The applicant or candidate which you referred has to be hired in order for you to get paid. So no hanky panky. And he/she actually have to be on the job for a little while (30 Days I think), so no fair getting someone hired on just to get paid and they quit. This is a 100% legit transaction.
Alright, good luck with the job hunt my friends!

Speak softly, tread easy, and think hard

This could be a lesson for life in general, but it is just as valuable for interaction with potential clients and readers for your website / blog.

Speak softly:

In today’s society our use of language has taken a turn for the crude, the often obnoxious and frequently obscene. Dirty talk has become almost a norm for many people, rather then an exception. In so many areas it appears as if you can not even have a normal conversation anymore with folks of the opposite gender without it being taken into a “flirtatious” arena.

This might be all fine and good if you are dealing with this away from business related matters, but unless you are involved in the adult industry and that is your job, it is hardly appropriate in business interaction. Am I being prudish here? To some of you I might be, but there are still some old fashioned business people out there, who will not take you serious if you think you can “flirt” your way through your business day.

Yes, of course we all know those who have slept their way to the top. It is part of the dark side of business, along with over paid CEO’s and their mega bonuses. Just as bribes into the right pockets have paved many business ventures for bigger corporations. Yet one thing remains the same, you often fall a lot faster then you have risen, if you do it in shady ways.

When you address someone unknown to you, you are not aware of their sensibilities. You have no idea of what their personal moral code might be like. So often we as human beings make the assumption that just because something does not offend us, it is perfectly alright to push it on others. Nothing could be further from the truth.  When it comes to business, you need to keep your mind firmly on the bottom line. Which is make a good impression, get the deal in as fair a manner to both parties as possible, and follow through with your agreement to the successful conclusion of the business deal at hand.

So many seem to think, that a one time great deal is enough! If you feel that way, you are setting yourself up for failure. You as a wise business owner need to think ahead! To me a blogger or writer, a website owner who makes their income from those ventures is a business owner as well. With that in mind, anything that generates you an income needs to be handled with a business mind and attitude.

Let me return to the setting yourself up for failure statement. Each time you approach someone about a business deal you are marketing a product so few of us think about. You are marketing yourself. Yes you might not be selling yourself, but you are selling your knowledge, your credibility, and your honor. You are the spokes person for your company, your product and for those whom you represent. If you come off like a street person about to make a shady deal, or someone begging for a couple of dollars, those on the other side of that table are not going to look at you with the respect and interest in dealing with you as you desire. The same goes for each time you write another blog post, or add yet another page to your website. YOU are the one who controls in the end how others perceive you. Never just look for the one time deal, but work hard on building a great rapport between you and your clients or readers. Look for the continuing return and give them a reason to do so. Leave the party attitude and talk at the door, unless it is part of your business. In that case forget what I said and enjoy.

Tread easy:

Tread easy to me represents the “honest offer”! What do I mean by that? Don’t make promises you can not hold. Do not claim to know more then you actually do. Remember that there is always someone who knows just a little bit more on a subject then you do. You may or you may not be called upon your lack of knowledge, but those who think they can pretend their way through life in the end will fail. There is not shame in admitting you don’t know something. I try to learn something new daily. In the big picture I am just a tiny little fish in a big pond. My advice is not backed up by multimillion dollar market research, but it is my honest opinion and a lot of common sense. I pass along to you what I have learned by doing – both right and wrong – and by paying attention to what those around me have done.

I am an Entrepreneur, but I am not a big shot money guru. You won’t see me writing any books titled “How to make a million dollars in 10 hours or less!” Simply because the only way I can see that would work is off the poor suckers who are sending in the $59.99 per sign up to learn the trick of the trade. So can you make the large amounts of money in a short time? Sure if you are the one that convincingly sells the dream.

I have understood over many years of doing now, that in the end it takes honesty and effort to get somewhere. It might be a long road and it might take some time, but in the end you can be honest and still make a great income even these days on the internet. It is simply called building a loyal clientele and that you can only do by giving them something worth having.

Tread easy with your promises and claims. Don’t open your mouth so wide that the BS falls out. Be sure that what you offer can live up to the claims you are making. You may take a little bit longer to get to the rainbow, but once you are there you have the satisfaction of knowing you have done it the right way. Success is your right; you don’t need to feel guilty about it. There is plenty of it available out there for everyone! You do not need to feel dirty about being successful, but you have to allow yourself to have it and do it the honorable way.  This includes working for it, keeping at it when times get tough, and doing what it takes without trying to walk over someone else along the way.

Think hard:

Last but not least is thinking before you act and speak. Take some time to think ahead, before jumping to action or conclusions. Don’t over analyze things either; you will never know all the facts. You need to find a good and solid middle ground in that process. Not enough thought can cost you great opportunities and a lot of money. Thinking so much that you never get around to taking actions can do the same.

Make yourself familiar with human behavior and psychology a little. There are many areas of being where we humans react very similar in the same situations. Make certain you do not by your behavior or choice of words, trigger a negative response in those you are trying to deal with on a daily bases. Again you are the one that will in the end be responsible for the outcome if you have been simply too blind, thoughtless or lazy to think ahead.

Over the years I have dealt with many people who had the attitude: It is my way or the highway. I personally have found that those with this particular attitude will lose out on a lot of wonderful opportunities, people and ways to grow in business and personally. There have to be some standards, that is a given, but when you become so close minded that you are not willing to listen to anyone but yourself any more it is time to just pack your bags and move to Mars.

I know that at times my thinking and trained in attitudes (and yes folks all of our attitudes have been trained into us by circumstances and life lessons) can be faulty. I am always willing to listen to what someone else has to tell me, but then it is up to me to either see it as my personal truth or disregard it. Quiet often I have found that I can gain a little grain of wisdom and knowledge from even the simplest suggestion or opinion someone else has voiced. Sometimes that is enough to kick me into a new way of thinking and now growth has begun. As I grow and evolve, so does my business. As I learn new things, I can pass my new found knowledge in simple language on to someone else who is still looking for it.

Think hard before you reject someone else’s knowledge, thoughts and words out of hand. They might just have been the missing piece you needed to move that extra step forward. Even if it was something you could not agree with, it still gave you an opportunity to think deeper about the subject at hand.

Think hard before closing a door in someone’s face. I see that out there so much in both relationships and business. Just because this individual is not exactly what you wanted, might not be as easy to deal with as you might have liked and you are finding yourself a little bit challenged now, you should still think hard about what positive trades they bring to the table. Quiet frequently you get rejected as a novice writer, because you do not have the long and impressive portfolio that other established authors have. Quiet frequently companies do not want to hire someone with little or no experience, because they do not feel that this would be to their best interest. In my opinion there are two problems with this soft of action.

#1 How is someone suppose to gain experience or that impressive portfolio if nobody is willing to give them a chance in the first place? You had to start out somewhere as well, didn’t you? So why are you so against giving someone else a hand up?

#2 This new writer or untrained person might just be the fresh voice and outlook you need in your company to push it forward. Sometimes we get so stagnated that this little bit of fresh air can bring out engines to run a lot smoother again.

Will they make mistakes at first? Certainly, count on it. Didn’t you make mistakes when you first started out? Don’t you still make mistakes from time to time? So what is the difference? Again think hard, before rejecting anything out of hand.

Think hard before you make any new associations. Ask some questions about this new person or company. Ask them some questions which are not on the cheat sheet you have always in front of you. See how they behave in a normal setting. Don’t try to trap them, but don’t allow them to feed into your ego either. How many times have you seen this little song and dance? “Oh you are so amazing, you are just so talented! I think your company is one of the best and that is why I want to work for you.”

Personally every time I hear the over the top compliments from someone who barely knows me, my warning flags go up high. I prefer honesty, and I don’t particular fancy false compliments and fluttery eye lashes. I guess you could say I look for something other then “make me feel important” from people.

Those I have treasured the most in my past are the ones that are comfortable enough with me and think me intelligent enough to hold an honest conversation with me. Who will disagree with me, when they see I am doing something wrong. Who will tell me truthfully when they think I am being a knucklehead horses behind. I may not like what they are saying, I might even feel slightly upset at first, but once I have had time to think about it then I can see that this was the true value of someone I want to associate with.

Kissing someone’s fluffy cheeks all the time or brown nosing is for those who need it because they can’t see their own worth. It isn’t for someone confident enough in themselves and in their business who wants to advance themselves.

Think hard before you want to surround yourself with nothing but ass kissers and fair weather friends.

As I said this post was a good guideline as I see it for both business and real life. You can take it on both spectrums of the universe. I hope it made you think if nothing else. You don’t need to agree with me, and you can feel free to even think I am being ….

What I would like is to hear some of your personal thoughts and opinions on that. I would love to hear from business owners out there as well as fellow bloggers/ writers and more.

Setting goals is so important

I had some very upsetting messages earlier this day. I was actually rather livid about them, but then I started thinking to myself;" If you hate what is going on, then do something about it!"

You may not be able to change someone elses attitude but you can sit there and take steps to make certain that attitude will not happen again. So who do you do that? Well, you need to know first of all what it is you don't like, and what should be changed about that.

Once you have that list, you can make a plan. For me it was the behavior of a website admin, where I belong to. Sometimes power can get to you, and at times it makes people mean. So can I do anything about it on that Website? No I can not, but I can build a Website on which people are equal and manners are a must!

So yes, that is my goal now. I have the thought and as in everything else in life a thought put into action creates  matter!

I have created a list of things I do not want to be part of my own Website, a rule of courtesies that will, nay must be upheld. After that, I am going to set about putting it into affect.

I want this website build within a month! So wish me luck. Will I succeed, because I have a goal in mind.

Make a little bit of cash with sponsored Tweets!

SponsoredTweets hire me badge I have just recently started trying sponsored tweets out and I have taken an opportunity so far. As with everything else in life it is slow going of course and I seriousely doubt that I will ever get rich of it. But why not utilize all your advertisement options.

The way I see it is: If you are going to be a twitterholic anyways and have a large following of loyal fans, why wouldn't you take the opportunity to make a couple of pennies here and there from sending a sponsored tweet from a product or service you can appreciate?

Afterall, pennies do add up! And I won't leave any opportunity stone unturned.

Now if you have a twitter account with at least 50 followers yourself and would like to see if you can get some opportunities coming your way, then why not sign up to sponsored tweets?

Sign up is free and only takes a few moments of your time. Well I done my job here, another opportunity for my fellow bloggers and tweeters to make a little mad money. Main requirement? Be patient – remember to those who wait something good will come. I am living proof!

Write your own reviews and get paid!

Once again I am testing out a new income revenue and so far I have to say that I am rather pleased with it. Since I am a big bookworm and love to give my opinon (no surprise there I know), I have joined Review Party, a free to join Review Website, which allows you to earn income via amazon affiliation and google adsense.

Sign up is easy and you never have to pay a cent. You can post as much or as little as you like. Since Review Party takes care of all the advertisement on their end, you have a better chance to have your Reviews seen and read. The more Reviews are seen, the more chances you have to sell books you review as an amazon affiliate, and of course earn revenue on the Goggle Ads displayed on your reviews.

Set up is extremely easy and only takes a few moments of your time. Why not join them now and start giving the world your opinion on Books, DVD's, and Music you have personally sampled?

“Title deleted by this Author” — mmm the woes of a freelance writer

Good morning my doves,

I am up and at it early again. Seems the sleep Goddesses don't like me much as of late, and so I am up at this early hour again and working on trying to find suitable jobs I can apply to.

I have this great little website I go to quiet often called: http://www.online-writing-jobs.com. A free listing of jobs posted from online publications and magazines looking for freelance writers.

Most of the time I can not find anything that I can apply to, since a lot of the Magazines require degrees in journalism. No I never went to school for writing, I guess you could say I am an untrained pain in the neck, who simply puts her thoughts on screen or paper.

Today however I got lucky and was able to apply to at least a couple of writing assignments. HURRAY!!! Will I get lucky and receive a response in return? Who knows. But the one main rule as a freelance anything is, don't give up. Trust me, you will come to that point often, just want to throw it up in the air, especially when the responses include, we need experienced writer. Please resubmit your application when you have more experience.

At this point I usually just shake my head and read over my 160 or so published Articles on various online publications. I may not have been paid a lot for those, but to me even $6.00 an Article counts. Just like everything else in life pertaining to anything important, how are you supposed to get experience when nobody wants to give you a chance?

But back to the reason for the Title above. As I looked through the offerings in the jobmarket, I found a lot of *finish ad on craigslist* this morning. MMM, ok no problem. But once there I found the notice: Title deleted by Author.

The first couple of times I thought nothing off it. Ok they found who they were looking for. Good for you! But after the 10th one, I was starting to wonder a little.

You see there is a scam company who hires bloggers to post false ads on craigslist in all different categories, harvesting their information. Was this the case? Who knows, I am not a detective, but it is something worth considering afterall.

So next time you come across an ad, that sounds just a little off, think twice before answering it.

Wish me luck with the applications folks and for you my fellow writers and freelancers, may this day be bright and the writing gods look with favor down upon you.

  • Children don’t come with an instruction booklet!
I would like to talk about parenting for a moment and it really doesn’t matter if that means in a two parent household, a one parent household, or an alternative lifestyle household. • Don’t get discouraged if things don’t happen overnight!
Sometimes things seem to take forever to get off the ground. You put a lot of work and effort into what you are trying to achieve and you simply don’t seem to get anywhere with it. Maybe you are just starting out in a new business and your traffic is so slow no matter what […]

  • Vampyre’s among us – no really!
Before you think I have suddenly gone off the deep end, let me explain to you that I am not talking about the fictional Hollywood style Vampires or even pranic Vampyres, nor about those who are living with a very real illness called Porphyria. I am talking about emotional Vampyres – people who just by their […]

  • Being a workaholic can destroy your health and relationships!
Take it from a “recovering” workaholic the prize you have to pay for being stuck in your workaholic patterns is too high to continue on. A lot of us who have the workaholic gene in us don’t even realize what we are doing. We often confuse it with being responsible, just doing what we need […]
